Schedule for SPIA 2025
Summer program for Industrial and Applied mathematics
This is a joint program meant to foster collaboration between Seoul National University (SNU) and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). This year’s edition will take at SNU, Gwanak-ro 1, Seoul.
SPIA groups.
There are three different SPIA projects in 2025:
- applications of homomorphic encryption
- heart data analysis via AI
- motion capture and AI
Four students will be working in teams on each project: 2 from HKUST and 2 from SNU. The teams will be formed on July 1st, after the opening lectures. Besides daily meetings with academic mentors, there will be weekly meetings with team leaders/industrial mentors on Wednesdays.

Office and dormitory information.
Offices 129-404 and 129-405 (Sangsan building) will be available for SPIA teams.
The dormitory will be in Shillim, close to the university. Precise information will be sent by email.
