Universality of log-correlated fields

A feature of log-correlation naturally appears in diverse objects such as random matrices, random discrete geometries and Riemann zeta function. In this talk, I will give an overview on the theory of log-correlated fields and talk about recent progress on it.

Maximal averages in harmonic analysis

This talk concerns maximal functions given by averages over some family of geometric objects. I will discuss the boundedness of those maximal functions on the Lebesgue spaces and its role in problems of harmonic analysis.

Satellite operators on knot concordance

Concordance is a relation which classifies knots in 3-space via surfaces in 4-space, and it is closely related with low dimensional topology. Satellite operators are one of the main tools in the study of knot concordance, and it has been widely used to reveal new structures of knot concordance. In this talk, I will explain interplay between concordance and low dimensional topology, and discuss recent developments on satellite operators. The talk is based on joint work with Jae Choon Cha.
