This is the first announcement of "the 2005 KOTAC International Conference: Operator Theory and Its Applications" to be held at the Kyungpook National University,  in June 23 -25, 2005. It is the 8th in a series of conference which started with the 1998 meeting in Korea. The program intends to cover various topics related to Operator Theory and Applications. The conference will give the participants the opportunity to present recent advances in this area. It is our pleasure to invite you to participate and give a 20 minutes talk at this Conference. Some operator theorists will be invited to the conference as main speakers. It would be most helpful to have your first reaction by the 30th of March, 2005, including a tentative title. The registration should be sent by air mail, e-mail, or Fax with the attached application form by the 30th of March, 2005. The registration fee is 200 US dollars per person. This fee will cover all accomodations, breakfast, lunches, dinners, banquet. The fee for people accompanying participants is 100 US dollars. And Excursion will be on June 25, which is an option, and its fee is 100 US dollars. The amount should be paid in the cash at the registration desk of the conference site. Especially, all participants will be invited to the celebration banquet for Professor Carl Pearcy's 70th birthday on the evening of June 23, 2005.
