Purpose and Hypothesis: This study explores the mathematical modelling of blood flow and oxygen transport in cerebral microcirculation to predict spatiotemporal hemodynamic responses. It focuses on deoxygenated and total blood volume (DBV and TBV) fractions, developed using Fick`s law for the diffusion coefficient, which better captures diffusion-driven dynamics.Methods: A coupled model combining Fick`s law and a hemodynamic response function derived from the damped wave equation is solved numerically using the finite element method (FEM). Simulations are based on a 7-Tesla MRI dataset to segment arterial vessels and brain tissues.
