Lectures on Motivic Cohomology and Algebraic Cobordism 연사: 박진현 교수 (KAIST) 장소: 129동 301호 3월 28일 목 14-16시 제목: Introduction to oriented cohomology and algebraic cobordism 초록: In this first talk, we discuss the notion of oriented cohomology theory of algebraic varieties, following Levine-Morel. We discuss the construction of the universal theory, called algebraic cobordism first, and present its connections to Chow groups and the Grothendieck groups. We will also discuss another construction by Levine-Pandharipande. 4월 4일 목 14-16시 제목: Motivic cohomology on smooth k-schemes 초록: We give a construction of the universal ordinary bigraded oriented cohomology theory on smooth k-schemes, via higher Chow groups of Bloch. We discuss a few important properties. If time permits, we will give a few interesting results implied by the existence of the motivic cohomology theory. 4월 11일 목 14-16시 제목: On motivic cohomology on singular k-schemes 초록: In this final talk, I will discuss a joint work in progress with Sinan Ünver on constructions of candidates of motivic cohomology theory on singular k-schemes of finite type. We give some motivating examples, and sketch the constructions. If time permits, we will discuss some conjectural consequences of the theory.
