* 시간: 오후 2:00~3:00, 3:30~4:30 The representation theories of symmetric groups and general linear groups are closely related with each other, where the characters of irreducible representations are nicely described in terms of symmetric functions. In this lecture, we introduce two classical results; Schur-Weyl duality and Howe duality, which explain these connections.
