The homology of based loop space of a manifold $M$ and the wrapped Floer homology of the fiber of cotangent bundle $T^*M$ are known to be isomorphic. In this talk I will introduce a Morse theory for the Lagrangian action functional on the based loop space and then explain why this phenomenon occurs via Legendre transform.
