In this talk, I will explain a paper of Takeo Ohsawa, titled “Isomorphism Theorems for Cohomology Groups of Weakly 1-Complete Manifolds”, Publ. RIMS, Kyoto Univ. 18 (1982). In the paper, he established an L 2 - analogue of the Runge approximation theorem. As a result, he proved a cohomological isomorphism theorem between a weakly 1-complete manifold and its subdomains. I will explain main results of the paper and if time is permitted, I will explain main ideas of the proof.
