Abstract: In this lecture.
I first define semi-infinite Lakshmibai-Seshadri (LS) paths, which are analogs of ordinary LS paths,
defined by using the semi-infinite Bruhat order in place of the ordinary Bruhat order on an affine Weyl group.
Then, I give the precise relation between semi-infinite LS paths and what we call level-zero LS paths.
Finally, I will explain how these semi-infinite LS paths provide a realization of the crystal bases of level-zero extremal weight modules over quantum affine algebras.
