Markov jump processes and corresponding non-local opeartors are basic building blocks for modeling many heavy-tailed random phenomena. In this talk, Iwill discuss general ideas in the study of Markov jump processes and thier (Dirichlet) heat kernel estimates, and then give a brief introductionfor recent progresses and their applications.
This talk overviews the following topics: Markov jump processes, fractional Laplacian, non-local operators, (Dirichlet) heat kernel estimates, stability of estimates, Harnack inequality, boundary Harnack principle.
